I can remember back in the day when the only important thing in my life was looking good! That was way before kids, conference calls, and cellulite. My main purpose each morning was to adorn myself in something absolutely eye-catching and trendy, regardless of the physical discomfort it may have caused me.

My thing was wearing high (almost but not quite stilleto) heels to work every day. Of course, I'm paying for it now with weird toes and a permanent limp (LOL), but man, at least I looked good for a little while!

This piece is the latest addition to my shop. The shimmering blue color of these drop shell coins reminded me so much of the ocean, I thought would fit perfectly with the shell charms and brass dolphins. Don't they look like they're in love? lol. Ahh, if only we had it as easy as these graceful creatures diving in and out of the wide open sea. Well, except for that whole shark thing.

Moths, Dragonflies, Butterflies... Oh My!

I've recently developed a fondness for those of the insect species. Particularly, dragonflies and butterflies. As seen in my recent jewelry designs, brass bugs seem to be taking over. But no need to grab the fly swatter just yet, as I seem to have many customers who are partaking in the same fondness. I've sold quite a few of my dragonfly pieces, so I just keep making more! I'm not exactly what it is about them that appeals to me. The gracefulness of their wings or the freedom that they represent. Either way, I'm a fan. And hope you are too!

"Envy Me" Necklace

I made this necklace last weekend, using antique brass findings, lime green drop shell coins, green/blue glass beads and a gorgeous blue jewel which I wrapped a brass filigree around. I think it screams Envy Me!
